Message from Athletic Director
“It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog." -Archie Griffin
I am honored to become Turlock High School’s Athletic Director. I have been extremely blessed to have spent my entire career at THS as a teacher and coach. I have been a part of Turlock High School athletics as a baseball, football and flag football coach for 23 years. Since 1906, THS has long established the tradition of “grit” and what it means to be a Bulldog. We will continue to celebrate our academic and athletic excellence by recognizing the students, staff, alumni and boosters that make our campus such a special place. Our goal is to give all of our athletic programs the very best instruction, opportunities and facilities as possible, while promoting our core values of respect, scholarship and integrity from both inside the classroom and on the field of play. The halls of our campus are marked by the greatness and can be clearly seen and felt from the rafters of the Bulldog Arena, the endzones of Joe Debely Stadium, the dugouts of Mark de la Motte Field, the decks of the Steve Fever Aquatic Center and the hardwoods of Louise Marchant Gymnasium. Our goal is to compete at the highest level and honor the traditions set forth by our alumni. It is with great admiration and respect that I accept the responsibility of becoming the Athletic Director at Turlock High School.
Go Dogs!
Sean Gilbert
