Message from the Athletic Director
Message from Athletic Director
Mike Brown
I just want to take the opportunity to introduce myself and let you know how excited I am to be the new Athletic Director here at Turlock High School, home of the BULLDOGS. I have been teaching at THS for 32 years. I was the head track and cross-country coach for 23 years. I have coached all levels of boys’ and girls’ basketball. I am really looking forward to wearing the hat of Athletic Director.
Turlock High has a very rich tradition in athletics. When you walk into our gym and see all the championship banners hanging it makes you proud to be part of such a fine school.
At Turlock High, we offer the opportunity to participate in one of 24 sports programs. We believe athletics play an essential role in the lives of our students. My staff and I are committed to teaching our core values of respect, compassion, scholarship and integrity on the practice field, playing field, court, pool, classroom and community. To manage the high demand of the athletic program we have a leadership team that is integral in our day-to-day operations. The athletic team’s goal is to inspire our coaches and athletes to be their best on and off the field. We believe it is our responsibility to provide a growth mindset environment that not only support our student-athletes and coaches, but also encourages everyone in our community to fulfill our mission. Together, cultivating the best in each, for the benefit of all.
Turlock High athletics would not be able to operate without the support and hard work of our coaches, athletic trainers, teachers, counselors, administration, activities office, maintenance and grounds crew. Additionally, I would like to thank all the athletic boosters’ clubs we have for our sports.
Never say never because limits, like fears, are often just illusions. ~Michael Jordon
