REMINDER: Beginning in 2nd semester, January 9, 2019, THS will be reinstating and enforcing the hat policy.  Remember, ONLY THS hats will be allowed to be worn on campus, during school hours, at bus stops, on buses, or any school-sponsored/co-curricular event.   Failure to follow this policy will result in disciplinary action.  

Seniors! The Local Scholarship Application is open TODAY and will be accessible until 11:59pm on January 18th, 2019. To apply, please follow the link on the scholarship page of the THS website. If you have any questions, please see Kristin in the Bookroom.

Students with outstanding fines will not receive their report cards until the fines have been paid!  Please check the fine list on the bulletin boards outside of the Activities and Campus Supervisor’s Offices.  Fines need to be paid in the Activities Office.

The Verbal Alliance is proud to be hosting a school-level competition for Poetry Out Loud at THS. If you missed the informational meeting on the 13th, you can contact Mr. McElroy in Room L11 for details. Our school-level competition is scheduled for January 24th at 6:00 p.m. in the THS Library. Anyone interested in competing MUST see Mr. McElroy by Friday, December 21st. No competitors will be admitted to the competition after Winter Break.

The last day to pre-order a yearbook is today.  The cost is $80, cash, debit, or credit.

Juniors and Seniors:  CSU Stanislaus will offer an “A” period course this spring here at Turlock High School.  Communications 2200: Introduction to Mass Media.  Why should you take this course?  1. It is free. 2. It will help you build your college transcript while still in high school. 3. You will have one less class to take while you are in college.  Come to the Career Center to sign up.

Winter Formal is Saturday, January 26th.  An informational letter has been mailed home.  Be sure to review the dress requirements and eligibility.  Formal guests who DO NOT attend THS must be pre-approved PRIOR TO JANUARY 18th.  All THS students must have a permission slip signed by a parent before purchasing tickets.  Forms are available in the Activities Office.  Tickets go on sale January 14th.   

Holiday grams on sale in E1 and at the T. Two Cocoa grams for $3 and Holiday Bulldog mug with a cocoa gram for $5. Grams will be delivered before finals.

Feeling cold this winter? Warm up with Hot Chocolate and Apple Cider!  FBLA will be pre-selling tickets all next week during lunch at the T for $1.  Drinks will be available on Friday morning and at lunch.  Insulated THS mugs will also be available for $10 each.
