Principal's Message

Welcome Bulldogs!

Turlock High School (THS) has proudly served the Turlock community for over 100 years. Along with being a contributing part of our community’s rich traditions, we have adapted to meet the needs of our students to provide a rich and fulfilling educational experience for our intelligent, diverse, and resilient student body which is approximately 2,500 students strong.

Since opening its doors in 1906, THS has encouraged our students to take advantage of all that our school has to help them become both college and career ready. THS offers many educational opportunities such as Advanced Placement courses, A-G college prep courses, and Career Technical Education (CTE) courses including, Agriculture, Auto, Business, Computer Programming, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Foods, Health and Family Studies.  We also offer a multitude of other elective opportunities in Fine Arts, Music, World Language, and our nationally recognized Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) Program.

We offer numerous co- and extra-curricular activities on campus including over 50 clubs (i.e., Chess, FFA, FBLA, Drama, HOSA, HYLC, Key, Math, Science Olympiad, Speech, Yearbook, etc.) and 14 highly competitive athletic team sports. In addition, we have six academic counselors, one college and a career counselor to help students plan and prepare for the future.

The overall goal of THS is to focus on student learning, acquire a high school diploma and prepare students for life after high school in order to become productive 21st Century citizens.  THS staff and student leadership groups will help students reach this goal. Students should seek their respective counselor if they find themselves experiencing difficulty in school, having a problem with peers, or need information regarding classes, athletics, clubs, or activities. We encourage students to connect to school in a positive manner to make the four years of high school enjoyable.
